    ASTM A694 F52, F60 and F65 flanges for API 6A Equipment

    Forged flanges made from ASTM A694 F52, ASTM A694 F60 and ASTM A694 F65 are widely utilized in wellhead and Christmas-tree manifold equipment in oil and gas industry. These flanges are designed as end or outlet connectors to valves or other components. The steel grades F52, F60, and F65 respectively designate the minimum yield strength of the flange as 52 ksi(360 MPa), 60ksi(415 MPa), and 65 ksi(450MPa). According to API 6A clause 5.4, ASTM A694 F52 material are only applicable to weld neck flanges of 2000 psi, 3000 psi and 5000 psi as a material designation 45K. Grade F60 and F65 flanges are available in welding neck, blind, threaded or any custom-design types covering 2000 psi through 10000 psi which is designated as 60K. All of the three steel grades shall be furnished as low alloy steel and the flanges shall be furnished with RTJ end connection(see the specification of metallic ring-joint gaskets for API 6A flanges).
