    EN 10253-1 Pipe Fittings: Marking, Coating and Packaging

    1. Markings of EN 10253-1 butt welding pipe fittings

    Usually the marking of EN 10253-1 pipe fittings are carried out by manual or computerized die stamping. Manufacturer's mark, steel grade, outside diameter, the reference to EN 10253-1 standard and other technical details shall be clearly marked on the surface of fittings.

    Examples:

    2. Coating & packaging of EN 10253-1 butt welding pipe fittings

    Usually, there are several coating methods for DIN / EN standard butt weld pipe fittings: anti-rust oil painting, varnish coating, water paint coating, cold zinc plating, and hot dipped galvanization. The coating shall be furnished after sandblasting. Fittings equal to or smaller than 2"(DN 50) shall be packaged into carton first, then wrapped by white plastic into pallets. Larger sizes can be packaged by pallets or plywood cases directly after marking and coating procedure.
